St Camillus Hospital Community Nursing Unit (CNU), Limerick

Project Description

This project included the construction of two blocks comprising 75 bedrooms and ancillary accommodation. A new two-storey entrance was built to connect these recently constructed additions to the existing medical facility. Additionally, the existing three-storey section of the hospital H block underwent a complete refurbishment to provide further ancillary accommodation. Extra facilities included a modern medical suite, physiotherapy rooms, dedicated spaces for recreational activities, communal dining areas and lounges The construction incorporates the latest in energy-efficient technologies, including LED lighting, high-efficiency HVAC systems, and superior insulation. This not only reduces the facility’s carbon footprint but also ensures a comfortable living environment year-round. Outdoor seated and recreationaly areas formed part of the overall construction project.
