Project Description

The project at Alkermes involved a comprehensive upgrade to the existing Balance Tank system within the waste-water treatment facilities. This included enhancements to the instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical systems, with the goal of creating a fully automated facility using the best available technology.

The new design improved accessibility, maintainability, and safety. Key upgrades included the modernisation of the existing MCC panel, assessment of the PLC panel, and the addition of a diesel/petrol interceptor to the surface water system. External grounds were restored with appropriate lighting, security, and access control measures. These upgrades were executed in parallel with current operations wherever possible, minimising any impact on production. The scope of work encompassed architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection modifications.
