During 2023, Conack began the process of searching for a new electronic system to manage our health & safety records. After conducting research with several products on the market, a decision was made to utilise the HammerTech platform. HammerTech is a comprehensive safety management software designed specifically for the construction industry. At Conack we use it for safety document management: storing and managing safety documentation, including policies, procedures, and compliance records; Communication and collaboration: facilitating communication between different teams and stakeholders to ensure coordinated safety efforts; Task Management: assigning and tracking safety-related tasks and corrective actions to ensure timely resolution. By integrating these functionalities, HammerTech is shown to improve our safety performance, ensures regulatory compliance, and enhance our overall site management efficiency so it has already become a central part of the company culture in less then 14 months. Our ultimate aim was to implement a system that could be used across all projects and ensure that accurate information was available instantly. An important consideration was also that the system would encompass all our safety requirements, not just isolated elements, e.g. Inductions.
